• From handwritten note on back of photo: " With the completion of building a Water & Light Plant shown in the background we see the men and horses digging the trench for large suction mains. The 30 foot diameter well is not far away and this will bring filtered water to the pumps and fill the stand pipe to create enough water pressure for the home faucets. Carl Lenhardt and horses are shown on the hill."
