John B. Kupfer was a baker by trade and operated a bakery in Kenosha beginning in 1854. He and his two sons organized the Kupfer Cracker Company in 1888. He also served Kenosha as an alderman, as mayor, and as county supervisor. This photograph and information was taken from the "Portrait and Biographical Album" of Racine and Kenosha Counties, 1892.
