Henry Williams was elected mayor of Kenosha several times, serving different terms during the years 1881 to 1890. Mr. Williams had moved his farm implement manufacturing company to Kenosha from Rockford, Illinois in the late 1860s or early 1870s. This home was located on the south side of Prairie Avenue and may have been built before the Civil War.
