This white stone church, built in 1858, was the second church building of the Swiss Reformed Church congregation in New Glarus, replacing a small log structure. Rev. John Zimmerman was the pastor at the time it was built. The stone church was torn down in 1900 and replaced with the large brick church that still stands at the intersection of First Street and Fifth Avenue.
