Founded by a collaboration of entrepreneurs from various brass mills in 1886, the Chicago Brass Company, Inc. was in business until 1990, producing metals that would be used for items like circuit boards, brass beds, and shell casings. Early in 1922, it was bought out by the Anaconda Copper Mining Company.
