This picture was copied from the magazine, "Headlight," published in 1895 by the Chicago and Northwestern Rail Road to advance interest in Kenosha as one of the growing cities on its line. Dr. William Farr was elected mayor of Kenosha on April 3, 1894, over Peter Jacobs by a majority of 36 votes. The pivotal issue of the election was the construction of the Water Works in Kenosha.
