1970 photo of The Myers Theater' back wall as seen from South Parker Drive. The former Myers Opera House became a movie theater in 1929, the same year that the second floor of the building had been acquired by the Elks Club for use as a clubhouse. The Elks' private entrance sign is visible in this photo. In 1977, the Rock County National Bank purchased the opera house in order to demolish it for a drive-up banking facility and parking lot.
