On Sunday, July 2, 1939, the Milwaukee Journal published three views of the Pendarvis House in Mineral Point, Wisconsin. The picture shown by this slide fit so well into the story, "One Hundred Years of Kenosha's Water Supply," that is was copied to make this slide. This picture is of the chain pump, a Mrs. Howe, and Mr. Charles Curtis, an old Cornish stonemason, who aided in the restoration of the Pendarvis House.
