This capitol building, the fourth for the state, occupies the site of number 3 which was greatly damaged by fire. This one was built in sections: the west wing from late 1907 to 1909, the east wing 1908 to 1910, the south wing from 1910 to 1913, the north wing 1914 to 1917 and the central rotunda and dome from 1911 to 1915.
