This picture was taken from the Main Street bridge looking north. A steamboat unloading fuel at the John O'Donnell coal yard can be seen. A three-masted sailboat is pictured unloading lumber. Washington Lighthouse was built in 1860. The sign on the bridge protection is of the C. H. Hackley and Son drug store. It was located at the corner of Main and Market Streets in the Durkee warehouse building which was built in 1837 and later replaced by the Epstein building.
