Oscar Graf is pictured with Racine County's first school bus, which stated its run the first day of school in 1931. The bus was used to transport children from the Ranke to the Waterford Graded School District after the two districts consolidated. According to a 1985 Waterford Post article with information from Bob Graf, the bus had a 1930 Chevrolet Chassis with a Wayne body. This picture was taken at the intersection of Center Street and West Main Street at the location of the Waterford Graded School Building. The students pictured have been identified from left to right: unknown boy, Harold Geif, Leslie Krueger, Edwin Krueger, Dorothy Zick, Willard Geif, Milton Geif, Harold Zick, unknown boy, Marie Stark, Shirley Duerst, Mabel Geif.
