Two young White Hmong men pose standing on the periphery of the White Hmong village of Phou Pha Deng (PC 4263) in Houa Khong Province. One of them is holding a "qeej", a bamboo reed musical instrument of usually 6 reeds of varying lengths that produce different tones. It is played extensively at the Hmong New Year. Both men are wearing silver neck rings of 5 bands each that reflect considerable wealth.
