OTHER INFORMATION: Ways - T1183; Both Captain Fenton and Captain Randolph piloted her for a long time. Captain Fenton retired in 1939 at age 70. Inspector was rebuilt in 1929 at Ayer & Lord ways, Paducah, Kentucky. The Inspector played the part of the Royal Barge in the Memphis annual Cotton Carnival for over a decade. She was the flagship of the flood relief fleet in the 1927 flood. In February, 1939, Captain Henry Allison, age 61, died on board. He had been with USE since 1917. The Inspector was sold at public sale in November, 1946 and dismantled the following year
