The two bays of the late 12th century nave are incorporated in the walls of the western towers. One bay is wide and the other is narrow with marked differences at each level. One clerestory has three narrow lancet arches while the other has a Transitional period round arched opening with a narrow lancet arch on each side. The narrow bay triforium has two tall narrow lancets within a super-arch. The wide bay triforium has round super-arch over two tall and two short lancets with a sunken quatrefoil between the super-arch and in the apex of the two tall lancets. The arcade opening into the tower is later Early English with multiple moldings and five engaged shafts on each pier.
