Summary
In his interview with Nick Trantner on June 15, 2018, Barry Temkin discussed deciding to attend UW-Madison, writing for the Daily Cardinal, the football program, and the student protests and anti-war movement. Barry was from Beaver Dam, Wisconsin and always imagined that he would go to the east coast for college but ended up attending UW-Madison over the University of Michigan. During his time at UW-Madison, he was a sports writer for the Daily Cardinal and covered football during two terrible seasons. He discussed the anti-war movement on campus and incidents involving tear gas. This interview was conducted as part of the Madison Reunion Series for inclusion in the University Archives oral history collection.
