OTHER INFORMATION: Ways - T1393; Called the "One Arm John", because she only had one stack; last towboat built at the Levanna yard. She was in Pittsburgh August, 1920 to tow barges south; she made three trips fall 1920, towing steel pipe from McKeesport, Pennsylvania to Cairo, Illinois. On June 20, 1931 engineer James Lacefield, 57, fell overboard and was drowned near Wickliffe, Kentucky. Captain Deneen died in September 1935, and, about six weeks later, a fire burned the boat's upper works and she was not rebuilt
