Angus Henderson (1902-1986) worked for almost all his life as a blacksmith in the town of Tobermory, on the Isle of Mull. Here he tells about his family background. He worked first for his father, who was a blacksmith who in turn was the son of a blacksmith. Their smithy in the upper town was a hub of storytelling: "It was a parliament house." Once the work at the smithy was done for the day, Henderson worked at his croft.
