Two Nyheun women are pounding next to one of the large rice storage sheds in the Nyaheun village of Lassasine (XB 7364, L-130) in Attapu Province. The older traditional sheds were made of large round woven bamboo containers placed on a raised frame as seen here. The more recent sheds are made of wood, covered by tin roofing and usually square in shape.
