OTHER INFORMATION: Ways - T2158; In October 1942 she was towing to Midland, Pennsylvania when she rammed the sand digger Allegheny that was moored at Pipe Creek, Ohio. Much damage was done to the dredge. The Richard Barrett was laid up for most of 1946 but came out in October 1947 chartered to the U.S. Engineering Department in Memphis
