She was decommissioned from the USE, Vicksburg, Mississippi in 1958. The Eagle Boat Store used her until 1970 when she was transferred to the James B. Eads Corporation, headed by Fred H. Leyhe. The United American Construction Company, Greenville, Mississippi, converted her into a floating restaurant placed at St. Louis. Her name was changed to Lieut. Robert E. Lee
