The hill at the north end of the Isle of Iona known as Dun Í is the highest point on the island. To the north it overlooks Iona Abbey, while to the west, as can be seen here, one can look out from it toward offshore skerries, the Treshnish Islands, the more distant coastlines of Coll and Tiree, and the broad expanse of the Atlantic Ocean. The light effects here can be striking at sunset.
