The opening from the crossing to the transept has a Norman round headed arch. The arch rests on two compound rectangular piers with half shafts and scalloped capitals. It has two flat bottomed orders and an outer hood molding. The Gray & Davison Victorian era organ is housed in a distinctive double case by the Victorian architect R.C. Carpenter
