The arcade behind the choir seats has arches which rest unusually on a cylindrical pier on the west and a corbel and rectangular pier incorporated in the wall on the east. The capitals are scalloped. The cylindrical pier is short with a very tall plinth. The two orders of the arch are flat bottomed without ornamentation with a rolled hood molding.
