The arches of the arcade level have multiple roll molding some with a square fillet on the apex of the roll. A single line of dogtooth runs between the outer molding. In the spandrel between each arch is an elaborate corbel supporting the vaulting shafts. The Purbeck marble corbels have extensive stiff-leaf completely covering their surface. Sprays of stiff-leaf foliage are at the tip of the corbel and act as hood molding stops. The Purbeck marble capitals and shafts support each arch.
