Korol' Parizha, Jean's studio sequence, part 2

  • 1917
Moscow: A. Khanzhonkov & Co.
  • A series of five black and white film stills showing a sculptor's studio apartment with a man in a suit, Jean Hiénard, standing and speaking to his mother, the Duchesse de Diernstein, whose back is toward the camera. The two speak to each other, with the Duchesse extending her arms to her sides, and Jean walking away toward the back of the room and returning to the Duchesse. Then the Duchesse kneels on the ground, looking up at Jean, who is crouching over her and holding her arms.
