An extended White Hmong family of seven poses on a hillside in the White Hmong village of Nam Phet (PC 5752) in Houa Khong Province. The two girls on the right are dressed in their finest for the Hmong New Year celebrations, including silver neck rings and embroidered turbans. The turbans are decorated with silver coins and embroidery. Behind them is a raised split bamboo conduit for carrying water from a source above the village to it.
