Two traveler families, probably relations, have set up camp together in a wooded area off the road. They have been gathering sticks for their fire, which would be set up between the two tents. It is summertime and the families are traveling light, walking from place to place. The push chair (a pram) would have transported the canvas and sticks for their tents, plus a few other belongings and perhaps a small child or two. Line drawing based on an archival photo in the holdings of the Highland Folk Museum, Central Highlands, Scotland. The photo dates from roughly 1930-1950.
