Summary

• The Norman arcade piers are varied with an octagonal column to the west, next a cylindrical column and then square cores with attached shafts and half columns. The arcade piers and tribune capitals are scalloped. The arcade arches have a hood molding decorated with nail head surrounding a prominent zigzag arch. The tribune has hood moldings of raised semicircles, zigzag arches and tympana filled with diapered flowers and a large central flower. Short vertical shafts run from the arcade pier abaci to the horizontal string course beneath the tribune.
