Walking trail through the tropical forests in the eastern region of the Boloven Plateau in Attapu Province
Date
1965-1969
Summary
Two logs placed over a small ravine like this are typically used as bridges for foot paths and walking trails in this region of the Boloven Plateau. Because of the underdeveloped nature of the area, the placement of logs or large limbs over rivers has been used for centuries by the people as a method of crossing streams and rivers particularly in the dry season. During the rainy season, the streams and rivers often swell requiring the use of a kind of raft, depending upon the size of the crossing.
