Williamson's great-grandfather John MacColl was known as "Snorin John MacColl" because he snorted like a bull. Here Williamson tells how MacColl fell into an argument with another man and attempted to kick him, hard, with boots with steel toe-cups. When the man took cover behind a water pump, MacColl kicked the pump and knocked the faucet clear off: water was spurting everywhere. This recording was made by Holly Tannen and a group of North American volunteer research assistants at the Williamsons' home at Kincraigie Farm Cottage, near Strathmiglo, Fife.
