The walls of the nave have the typical three levels of the Decorated Gothic period, the arcade, triforium and clerestory. However the clerestory and triforium flow together with the window mullions forming the triforium divisions. The large central and two small vaulting shafts extend from the floor up to the downward extension of the ceiling ribs with heads at the junction of the arcade arches and the smaller shafts.
