A White Lahu (Lahu Hpu) father holds his child while his two young sons stand at his side in one of the White Lahu villages south and west of Muang Meung (PC 5292, LS-93) in Houa Kong Province. Behind them rice storage sheds are being built from bamboo and thatch. A USAID Ban Houei Sai team visited the village on a road and agriculture survey. The expedition took three days, over a 42 km/25.2 mile distance, beginning in Muang Meung and ending at the Yao village of Na Kong (PC 2860).
