Cincinnati and New York: The Strobridge Lithographic Company
Summary
Color litho. Russell, as Georgiana Chadbourne, sitting down to a meal with her intended, to whom she lifts her glass in a toast. Caption across top reads "Lillian Russell" and at bottom "In Search of a Sinner."
Thompson, a well-known suffragette, wrote this a vehicle for Russell when she was still centered in Chicago. The production traveled from Chicago to Pittsburgh, San Francisco, and Los Angeles, and is mentioned prominently in Russell's autobiography. However, no record of a New York production has been found. The play was made into a film in 1920 directed by David Kirkland and starring Constance Talmadge.
