The large piers between the openings of the tribune gallery have detached shafts and rows of stiff-leaf crockets between the shafts. Each shaft has a stiff-leaf capital. The round abaci flow together beneath each end of the arches. All of the capitals, shafts and crockets are Purbeck marble. The vaulting shafts between each pier are triplet shafts of Purbeck marble.
