OTHER INFORMATION: Ways - T1640; She operated on the upper Mississippi River for the U.S. Engineering Department out of Rock Island, Illinois. In 1905 she received a steel hull at Dubuque, Iowa. Sold at public sale 1928 to Clat L. Adams. In 1935 she was sold to Captain A.C. Johnson. He had a contract to tow wood pulp from above Arkansas City to Greenville, but, due to swift currents caused by cut-offs recently made in that area, the Louise proved too small in power. She was laid up at Helena for several years and sank there. Another source indicated she was dismantled at Keokuk, Iowa
