- Description
- Archive of New York-based Russian-language newspaper Russkoe slovo (Русское слово, Russian Word, 1917-1920) and Novoe Russkoe Slovo (Новое русское слово, New Russian Word). When first published, Russkoe slovo carried pro-Communist leanings. With the title change to Novoe Russkoe Slovo in 1925, the newspaper shed its pro-Communist sympathies and established itself as the premier newspaper of the Russian émigré community in New York and beyond. Note that some issues are missing from the archive.
