The U.S. Census Bureau's Topologically Integrated Geographic Encoding and Referencing System data (TIGER/Line) are the most detailed geospatial data files available for mapping census demographic statistics. Boundary files for use in geographic information systems software (GIS) are available for download as: shapefiles; shapefiles with pre-joined demographic data; cartographic boundary files, KML prototype files, and are also viewable through TIGERWeb, and interactive web mapping application.
