The Gilded Age collection contains primary documents and scholarly commentary covering U.S. history from 1865-1902. It includes over 50,000 pages of fully searchable text and associated audio and video material, including treatises, songs, letters, photographs, cartoons, government documents, and ephemera. The collection can be searched or browsed by chronology or subject. The collection also features critical documentary essays on issues in late nineteenth century America, including race and ethnicity, immigration, labor, women's rights, American Indians, political corruption, and monetary policy.
