House of Commons Parliamentary Papers

The House of Commons Parliamentary Papers are vital to the historical record of Britain, its former Colonies and the wider world. They are among the richest and most detailed primary sources for the history of the past three centuries, and are fundamental to an understanding of current legislation, policy making and the political environment. This comprehensive collection includes all of the papers issued by the House of Commons between 1715 through the 21st century in all formats, including: Bills, Reports of Royal Commissions, Reports of Select Committees, Accounts and Papers, Command Papers(included within the Reports of Commissioners and Accounts and Papers) with supplementary material back to 1688. All of the papers are full-text searchable with hit-term highlighting, and accompanied by bibliographic data and subject indexing from the Subject Catalogue to the House of Commons Parliamentary Papers, 1801-1900, where relevant. The full text from Hansard, the Official Repo rt of debates in Parliament, from both the House of Commons and House of Lords, is also included from 1803 to 2005.
