Aging Out chronicles the obstacles and opportunities facing three young people as they "age out" of the foster care setting. DA leaves foster care to juggle parenting her young child, paying bills and attending a prestigious college on scholarship. DG leaves foster care only to end up homeless, on drugs, and eventually incarcerated. RB graduates from high school with several scholarships only to suffer an emotional breakdown during her freshman year of college. All three struggle with the scars of troubled childhoods as they begin to take control of their lives to realize dreams of independence and fulfillment.
