The story deals with the death of an exemplary worker who is buried with his trade-union identification card as a posthumous honor. In order for his widow to receive her pension, she must present said card. A Kafkian nightmare ensues when the body needs to be exhumed to retrieve the document. The plot is a real Catch-22; a parody; a full critical comedy of the absurdities of governmental red tape.
