The Drinker Inventory of Consequences (DrInC) was designed to provide a comprehensive sampling of possible alcohol problems. Questions were intentionally excluded about help seeking and items referring to pathological drinking practices but not negative consequences. Special efforts were made to include items that might be concerns and experiences for problem-drinking women (appearance, parenting, weight, and emotion).
