"Clark, an adventurer, arrives in a remote Amazonian village just as the diamond mines are nationalized. A riot ensues. Clark flees on an old river barge. His fellow travelers include an elderly prospector with his deaf/mute daughter, a French prostitute, and a missionary. Clark soon installs himself as leader of the group and forces them to take cover deeper and deeper into the 'Garden'--the Rain Forest where death meets all but the insects, reptiles, and carnivores who call it home"--Case for container.
