The authors wish to remain anonymous in accordance with the tried and true tradition of Al-Anon, whose public relations policy is one of always maintaining personal anonymity at the level of press, radio, TV, and film. In addition, Al-Anon members are careful to guard the anonymity of all AA members. Therefore, the authors ask representatives of the media to respect the authors' use of their first names and last initial only. In this way the authors protect the anonymity of their children and themselves.
