The cotton-top tamarin (Saguinus oedipus) is an endangered species unique to northern Colombia. Its continued survival is threatened by the destruction of its forest habitat. Anne Savage and her colleagues developed an education program in the village of Coloso, targeting high school students. This program has had success in increasing the villagers' understanding of, and pride in, their forests and unique tamarin species. Included in this lecture is the showing of the videotape "Proyecto Titi: A 'Hands-On' Approach to Conservation Education in Colombia".
