Arranged in seven groups: I. Vocal scores (33). II. Chorus scores (1). III. Promptbooks (31). IV. Librettos (1). V. Lyrics (1). VI. Dialogue parts (232). VII. Accompanying material (1).

Production materials for Strauss's "Der Spitzentuch der Königen" and its English version "The queen's lace handkerchief." Vocal scores include two distinct German editions by Cranz (Wien): one from 188-?, the other with "new text" by Oesterreicher and Wilhelm, c1931. There is also a German manuscript vocal score, and several copies in English by White-Smith (Boston, c1882), two of which are stage manager's guides. The chorus score was also published by White-Smith. Promptbooks include versions in German ("Regie- und Soufflierbuch" published by Cranz, 1931, and a manuscript copy) and in English (both typed and handwritten).

The English libretto was published by White, Smith (Boston, 1883) and the set of German lyrics by Gustav Lewy (Wien, n.d.) [missing from box, 2/27/17] . Dialogue parts are all in English and include typed (or typed mimeo) and manuscript sets. The accompanying material consists of gas, property, and scene plots and a cast of characters for the English title. Several different production versions of "The queen's lace handkerchief" are represented in the collection: the McCaull version (vocal score, promptbooks, dialogue parts); the Conreid Version (promptbook and dialogue parts); the "small version" (promptbooks and dialogue parts); the "regular version" (promptbooks and dialogue parts); and the Casino Opera House version (vocal scores and dialogue parts).
