This periodical was devoted to preserving an authentic and complete collection of American state papers and official records. It published two volumes each year; the first was devoted to legislative proceedings and news of inventions and progress made in the arts and manufacturing, while the second recorded historical events. Contents included "Annals of America," official documents and state papers, "Review of the political institutions of the U.S.," a history of the proceedings of Congress, and a history of important events from the declaration of the war to 1814.
