Minutes, correspondence, internal memos, reports accounts of conflicts between minorities and police, of a committee established to address tensions between the black community and the police department. The primary goal of the committee was to insure unbiased treatment of all citizens regardless of race, creed or color, to encourage the education in and understanding of the problems of minority groups, and to encourage an awareness by the policeman of his role. Includes the report of the Mayor's Commission on the Mifflin Street Disorders, 1969, and a photocopy of a poster advertising the event.
