- Bound volume with 136 pages; back cover gone as well as several leaves from back of volume; pages 126-129, 132 and 134 blank.
- Archibald Mains Kitzmiller was born December 18, 1811 in Leesburg, Loudoun County, Virginia, and died October 26, 1886 in Washington, D.C. He was the Chief Clerk at Harper's Ferry Armory when he was taken prisoner in 1859 during John Brown's raid and testified afterwards to the Senate.
