Record of claims submitted to the county board by the Clerk for bounties, aid, work performed, court charges and other expenses by officials and citizens and record of county orders drawn by the Treasurer to satisfy claims. Volume [1] contains claims filed, 1886-1899, giving date, number, name of claimant, nature and amount of claim, and amount allowed. The second half of the volume contains hunting licenses issued, 1922-1927, giving date of issue, name of person and town of residence, and type of license. Volume [2], 1899-1917, contains claims filed and orders withdrawn. In addition to the type of information in the previous volume, it includes information about delivery and receipt of order. Volumes [3]-[5] are a record of county orders drawn. Entries give date, order number, to whom drawn, and if applicable, to whom paid, and amount. Volume [3] contains orders issued, 1853-1908, and a section listing Dance Hall Inspectors, 1924-1927, and a list of dance hall licenses and permits, 1924-1927. Volume [4], 1878-1886, contains primarily orders for aid to the poor and for court charges. Volume [5] contains orders paid, 1888-1913, and an index to the accounts.
